I wanted to infuse color into an usually drab scenic aesthetic for this show.   The visual concept I landed on was Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night seeping over the Skid Row buildings.  Not only recognizable as a treatment, this was to represent Audrey 2's world taking over by means of color pallet.  I used a subtractive torch burn over foam to give a slight 3D treatment to the elements that were then heavy-handedly painted to give the illusion of Van Gogh's brush strokes.  Then Air Brushed to help push the shadows and corners back.
Unfortunately I lost all of the set pics, and just have these promotional shots.  The show was at  West Boca High.

Reviews:
"The fanciful depiction of a Skid Row, complete with a weirdly appropriate Van Gogh surreal sky, was designed by Sean McClelland."  -Bill Hirshman

"Scenic designer Sean McClelland has framed the dingy Skid Row scenes with his depiction of Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night to enhance the otherworldly feel surrounding the sequence of events following the arrival of Audrey II " -John Laviviere
